Each year, students with financial needs are able to attend the Gauntlet because of generous givers who donate sponsorships. This is a life-changing week for hundreds of students, and we never want money to be the reason a student misses out.
This has been a tough year for many families, and we will have more scholarship requests than ever before. If you feel led, you can donate here to help a student pay for the trip. If you would like to sponsor a specific student you may, or you can simply add your donation to the scholarship fund, and we will give it to a student in need. You can also give by cash or check if you would like.
If you wish to give by check, you can turn it in to the offering bag on Sundays at any NewSpring campus or mail it to P.O. Box 1407 Anderson, SC 29622. Please make checks payable to NewSpring Church, and write "Gauntlet sponsorship" in the memo line. Please do not write any student's name on the check. If you wish to sponsor a specific child, please write that name on a separate sheet of paper and affix it to the check.
If you wish to give in cash, please do not mail it. Instead, turn it into the offering bag on Sundays at any NewSpring campus. You may also bring it to the offices of any NewSpring campus during normal business hours. Please place the cash in an envelope that is labeled "Gauntlet sponsorship." If you wish to sponsor a specific student, please enclose that student's name in the envelope with the donation. Unless you would prefer to remain anonymous, please place your name on the outside of the envelope or enclosed with the donation.
The Gauntlet is a 5-day event for middle and high school students. Any student who will complete one of the following grades, 6th-12th, this spring is invited to attend.
Students will spend the week learning from God's Word during sessions led by the NewSpring Fuse band and our senior pastor, Perry Noble. In addition, students will be given daily opportunities for personal quiet time and small group discussions. During the days, students will also have free time to relax on the beach, at the pool, and around Daytona under the supervision of background-checked, interviewed, and trained leaders.
Every year, the Gauntlet is the single most life-changing event in our student ministry, and you definitely want to be a part of what God does in and through students during this week.
